‘m using this lens on Rebel XSi. Records XSi routine blurry so I have no way of knowing if it is a quality objective or not. And “The physical quality is great and the good functioning, the Canon camera is the problem.
I am not impressed by this. The 100-400 is just as strong as the most convenient Canon 75-300 lens. The other thing that bothers me is when you use the 1. 4x with the 100-400 IS. . . You do not have autofocus. Yet if I put a cheap tube near the 100 to 400 I autofocus. Go figure. For the money you pay for this purpose and 1. You should get 4x autofocus and a shaper image. I have used for years Canon FTB and F-1. The cameras and glass, in my opinion, were higher. Makes me want to switch to Nikon or Pentex.
I was with the 40D for a couple of weeks. I have a 30D that I use as a backup. I thought about how many people, but I bit ‘and the ball did. I bought it, and have since returned to that goal. It is well built and seemed to work well too. I found the images too soft, with little detail or not. As for birds or trees. The leaves seem to be only a leaf, but without details. I was unhappy with the images with smooth, even nature. I had some pigeons in the courtyard and shot many photos, just to show they were o. k. images, but too soft, especially for very closely. Aperature I tried many, and the focal length. Of course, at 400mm zoom, it gets worse. Personally, I think it was a bad goal, and try another. Amazon should pack a little “better like this Len was a box inside a larger box with almost nothing to prevent it from being knocked around during shipping. Come on Amazon, too cheap to pass better?
Great product very well built and easy to use, I can not wait to use it this summer.
